Our approach to custom home design strives to find a balance between people and place, considering both the requirements of the occupants and the opportunities of the site. We favor simple, contemporary design solutions that prioritize sustainability, natural light, functionality and durability.
Renovations
We see thoughtful remodels and additions as opportunities to breathe new life into existing homes. This process is inherently more sustainable and economical than a new build but requires care to ensure the design works with the existing context and constraints rather than against them. One of our favorite aspects of the remodel process is that it allows our clients to stay in the homes and neighborhoods they love without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics.

We are a contemporary residential architecture studio based in the Greenville, South Carolina. We believe that homes should be functional, beautiful and responsible. We lean heavily on our understanding of sustainable design and building science principles during the design to prioritize occupant comfort and durability. We consider a design successful when it is both contemporary and enduring, like it has always been there. With this goal in mind, we aim to design for today with an eye to the past and to the future.
